This is accomplished through national leadership and local professional programs. Through ts leadership development programs, Alpha Kappa Psi tries to support its mission statement:

"Developing well trained ethical, skilled, resourceful and experienced business leaders."

History

AKPsi was originally founded as an all male fraternity on October 5, 1904 at New York University by ten Founding Fathers. It remained a male only organization until August, 1976 when women were admitted. Though it is considered co-ed, women and men are equally considered "Brothers" in the fraternity. Today there are over 75,000 active student Brothers at more than 250 of America's top universities and business schools. In total, Alpha Kappa Psi has inducted more than 175,000 members and has more than 40,000 active alumni around the world. AKPsi is one of the 20 largest college fraternities in the United States. Chapters have also recently been founded in the United Kingdom and in Canada.

About Us

The Eta Omicron chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi was established on December 4th, 1999. We are members of the Pitt County Chamber of Commerce which puts us together with high- ranking presidents and CEOs of the Greenville area. We have created a strong connection with professors in the business school and school of human ecology.  The Eta Omicron chapter gives business majors at East Carolina University the opportunity to expand their business skills and build relationships for a lifetime.  Our Brothers have unlimited avenues to pursue in helping them excel in academics and the business world while having a great time through many social events, networking, leadership forums, success institutes, and much more.
